Critic about the painting course - Watercolor realistic orchid painting: step-by-step workshop

 I studied Art, Art History, and drawing for several years in primary school and in gymnasium.

When I started the orchid course, I had 12 orchids years ago. Now I have only two.

Orchids need special care to be beautiful and have flowers.

When I watch the video about the painting, there is no real orchid in the video; there's not even a picture of the orchid she is painting.

I took another painting course on Udemy before. Every representation at least happened by showing the original picture.

In this orchid painting course, the person who paints always talks about giving more and more pigments and structure to the picture.... 

without a real situation....

The final outcome does not give the feeling that something would make a person happy. 

So I took a different direction in this course. As for me, my 12 orchids were more important than giving another and another lawyer to the story.... from the video, it is not even sure if the painter has a picture of an orchid or has a real orchid in front of her... 

I attached a picture from the video. I do not like that the direction of the light is not obvious, and shadows are added to the orchid from all kinds of directions. It does not give a harmonious feeling. Yes, there are contrasts, shadows, lights, lawyers, but not a real situation. Yes, it looks 3-dimensional on paper, but I would really appreciate it if I could see the real orchid in the video, or at least a picture of what she paints. 

If the lights come from below, then why is the shadow placed in the same way?
